Police Officer I and II Positions Available
The City of Northwest is seeking highly qualified applicants for its Police Officer I and II vacancies. Ideal candidates for Police Officer I must have a current NC BLET certification. Those applying for Police Officer II must have a minimum of three years of law enforcement experience. Candidates for both positions must demonstrate a commitment to transparency, accountability, and fairness, both internally and to the broader community. The salary range for Police Officer I is $$44,676 to $48,144 per year and Police Officer II is $49,106 to $55,110 per year, commensurate with skills and experience. About Northwest
Incorporated in 1992, the City of Northwest encompasses 7.21 square miles in northern Brunswick County, North Carolina, a quick 20minute drive from downtown Wilmington, 15 minutes from Leland, and a half-hour from area beaches. The City’s population was approximately 900 and is expected to triple by 2027. The community is easily accessible via U.S. 74/76 and Interstate 140, is traversed by the CSX rail line, and is only a few short minutes away from Brunswick County’s two largest industrial park sites.
